On Monday, an Iranian Revolutionary Guard armed services speedboat confronted a U.S. Navy warship. Meanwhile, President Biden and his administration played mind games with Iran over its nuclear aspirations.
Leading up to the incident on Monday, three guard ships heckled Navy and U.S. Coast Guard vessels for two hours just next to the Persian Gulf on March 4.
At the same time, a guard catamaran made very, very close contact with USCGC Robert Goldman.
The Guard Boghammar, a high-speed Iranian Revolutionary Defender speedboat, approached the Cyclone-class surveillance ship USS Sirocco and the Spearhead-class tactical rapid transit ship USNS Choctaw County on Monday.
Per the Associated Press, “the two United State’s Coast Guard cutters blasted several alarms and warnings by launching flares and using bridge-to-bridge radios.”
The Associated Press reported, “the Sirocco blasted its horn multiple times at the Iranian speedboat which moved away as it got closer.”
The Navy said the Boghammar got inside 50 yards (45 meters) of the Sirocco, increasing the potential for collision between the vessels. According to the Navy, the total contact lasted nearly an hour.
At some point we should probably start talking about how the Biden administration spent 18 months letting Iran restore its economy and get to nuclear breakout, and now the Iranians are challenging our Navy. It's the second time in the last few months. https://t.co/Euesexm6Ri

The U.S. Navy claimed, “The IRGCN’s actions did not fulfill international norms for competent or safe maritime conduct, hence raising the likelihood of mistake and collision.”
Iranian naval abuses have not been associated solely with the Biden Administration although, sigh, it too wants to march forward into the past with its JCPOA efforts-https://t.co/MULFTXOip1
Iran's Navy chest bumps when it can, and it may mirror Russian aggression given alliance.

The Navy did not comment on why it did not report the earlier incident, even considering a larger vessel approached an American battleship more closely.
However, this occurred just as a compromise between Iran and international powers to restore the nuclear deal appeared likely in Vienna before the discussions went down, as reported by the AP.
Erstwhile Secretary of State Mike Pompeo criticized Biden on Iran on Sunday, stating, “The calm we achieved throughout our four years has now been squandered and discarded. They are putting us all in danger.”
“When the United States sides with Iran, the world’s largest terrorist state, against Israel, Saudi Arabia, as well as the United Arab Emirates, the leaders of these nations no longer have faith in the United States.”
Per the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Iran is currently enriching uranium at its subterranean Fordo plant using 166 sophisticated IR-6 centrifuges.
The Daily Wire reported the United Nations’ nuclear monitoring report was acquired by Reuters.
This was after the International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) Board of Governors chastised Iran for failing to communicate why uranium traces were discovered at facilities Iran did not disclose.
The report says IAEA inspectors confirmed on Saturday that Iran was prepared to inject uranium hexafluoride (UF6) hydrogen, the fuel centrifuges enrich, into the next of two falls, or clusters, of IR-6 centrifuges constructed at Fordow, a mountain-cut site.
Iran told the IAEA on Monday the passivation of the cascade started on Sunday. This process comes before enrichment and involves putting UF6 into the machinery.
