Dax Tejera’s Widow Arrested Shortly After His Death

It has come to light that Dax Tejera’s widow was taken into custody only a few hours after her husband, an ABC News producer, passed away suddenly at the age of 37.

Officials reported Veronica Tejera, 33, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. This was immediately after she allegedly abandoned her two young girls in a hotel room in Manhattan in order to rush to the clinic with her husband.

Their Children

According to a story in the New York Post, workers of the Yale Club contacted 911 on the evening of December 23 to report what they believed to be unaccompanied youngsters at the hotel.

The New York City Police Department stated the two little girls, one of whom was just five months old and the other two years old, were left unattended in a hotel room for a lengthy period of time.

Veronica, on the other hand, issued a statement in response to the claims, in which she said she went to the clinic with Dax after he passed out.

She stated she had asked both a friend and her family members to rush to the children’s hotel room to join them while she surveilled them with a camera.

The hotel refused to let her friend check-in and instead contacted the New York Police Department.

Veronica further mentioned she was keeping an eye on the youngsters even when they were sleeping by using two cameras that were pointed in their direction.

In her statement, she admitted she made a wrong choice despite the fact that the children escaped injury. A criminal court hearing has been scheduled for the mother of two.

Veronica expressed how devastating Dax’s death was for her and her family. Those he leaves behind are sad, especially his two kids, whom he adored.

She and her family have been through a horrific ordeal. She and her children are grieving the loss of their father, Dax, and she requests privacy at this difficult time.

Memo and Condolences

On December 23, the producer of This Week with George Stephanopoulos died unexpectedly of a heart attack. The Hollywood Reporter sent a memo in which a spokesman for ABC News verified the incident.

The memo, written with a heavy heart and a deep sense of loss, stated that friend and coworker Dax Tejera died unexpectedly of a heart attack.

As executive producer of ‘This Week with George Stephanopoulos,’ Dax’s enthusiasm, passion, and love for ABC News shone every Sunday morning, according to the report. This same affection was conveyed to his cherished daughters.

It closed by expressing their condolences to his wife, Veronica, their two young kids, and the whole Tejera family.

Tejera was a seasoned news producer who succeeded at both ABC News and NBC News. After joining ABC News’ Washington, D.C. team in 2017, he requisitioned The Week just before COVID-19 struck.
