Prepare for more righteous fury about the CDC and Democrat legislators’ pressing for mask laws for youngsters. According to Mary Kekatos of the Daily Mail, the US is one of seven Western nations that requires youngsters to wear masks.
Despite the FDA’s recent approval of Pfizer’s vaccine for children aged 5 to 11, the powers that be appear unwilling to budge on the mask mandate for kids.
Spain, Canada, France, Portugal, Romania, and Italy all require youngsters to wear masks. Countries where children’s masks are no longer required (or never were) include Australia and New Zealand.
Even countries with strong pandemic prohibitions do not mask youngsters. Examples include the United Kingdom, Denmark, Ireland, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, and Hungary.
In both the US and the UK, Kekatos notes the risk of hospitalization and death is substantially lower, with less than 0.1 percent of youngsters becoming extremely unwell or dying from COVID.
The minor risk led most Western nations to abandon the masks and allow students to return to “normal life” in the classrooms.
UK Children in School with No Masks!
Millions of kids resumed school in the UK without face covers in early September. While masks are a contentious subject in the US, both the Conservative and Labour Parties in the UK claim they hinder children’s abilities to communicate and mingle.
According to a recent DailyMail.com study, American kids are hospitalized up to four times more than British youngsters. Kekatos proposes many European countries lack such laws since Europeans are better immunized, trust the leadership of the European Union, and have much more testing.

Emphasis on the fact there is trust in their leadership! The old man in power here has repeatedly shown us he doesn’t care. How, then, are we expected to trust someone who doesn’t care?
Despite vaccine approval, CDC director Rochelle Walensky insists children stay masked in school. In an outrageous tweet, Dr. Walensky emphasized the importance of covering up, not only when it comes to COVID, but also the flu and even the typical cold.
Data on Masking Minors is Poor
Democrats like New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio have likewise insisted on masking kids. But the next mayor, Eric Adams, a Democrat with some common sense, appears inclined to compromise.
Governors who wish to allow parents to decide whether or not their children should wear masks now face opposition. In one case, Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis signed an executive order on July 30, barring school districts from issuing mask mandates.

Governor DeSantis’ press secretary, Christina Pushaw, stated “masks are not required in Florida schools.” She went on to say forced masking is illogical and can hinder academic and social growth.
Parental choice is protected in Florida. Pushaw added since August, COVID cases dropped 90%. Also, some school districts improperly forced students to cover their faces for two months. Masking did not affect the COVID drop rate.
Dr. Joseph Ladapo, Florida’s Surgeon General, told reporters the data on masking minors “is very weak.”
