Although we all know President Biden loathes Trump, a new leak has now confirmed how much he hates the former president.
According to a new leak published in the New York Times, Biden is hell-bent on seeing Trump prosecuted for the January 6 event that led to the ‘Capitol riot.’
Biden and Associates Against Trump
According to the leak from New York Times, Biden told his close associates that he believed Trump was a major threat to the country’s democracy.
He also noted Trump should not be allowed to walk free for his actions. Although Biden didn’t say this directly to Attorney General Merrick Garland, he confidently said he wants Garland to take more action.

Biden said he wants the AG to stop playing to the gallery and take decisive actions against everybody involved in the January 6 event, including Trump.
Yet, it is unclear what the former president will be prosecuted for.
Besides, the House committee investigating the January 6 event said they have reasons to believe Trump and his associates were culpable in trying to overturn the 2020 election.
Again, members of the Democrat Party have been vocal about their intentions on the issue.
A member of the January 6 committee, Rep. Adam Schiff, said the committee wants the Justice Department and the Attorney General to do more about the January 6 event.
According to him, the committee is doing its job, and the Department of Justice needs to do its job too.
Remember when one of the gravest threats to US democracy was the politicization of the DOJ, specifically a President influencing decisions about who should and shouldn't be prosecuted?

Another committee member, Rep. Elaine Luria, was also quoted as saying, “the Attorney General of the country should do his job so we can perform our duties too.”
In addition, the president implored the Department of Justice to punish anybody who defied subpoenas from the January 6 investigators. He noted he wants the committee to go after them in full force.
Trump and Associates
Despite numerous allegations against Trump, he and his associates have continued to deny they were culpable in the events on January 6.
They also added they had nothing to do with any event surrounding the Capitol riot. However, a former aide of Trump, Steve Bannon, has been indicted for contempt after he refused to comply with subpoenas issued by the January 6 committee.
Yet, Mark Meadows, the former chief of staff, has been able to evade prosecution so far. Worthy of note is there was also a court filing for John Eastman, a conservative lawyer linked to Trump.
The panel also noted it has substantial evidence to prove that Trump might have illegally engaged in a criminal conspiracy to hamper Congress’ electoral vote counting.
With some of Trump’s associates getting punished, will Biden get his wish of getting former President Trump prosecuted? It is too soon to say. However, there’s nothing we can do than watch as things unfold.
