Axe Attacker Kills Kids At Kindergarten

The recent massacre in Nashville outraged the country. Three small kids and three adults were killed in a rampage by transgender individual Audrey Hale.

In the wake of that tragedy, the left has been calling for a full ban on “assault weapons” and cracking down on the Second Amendment.

Sadly, however, the truth is that horrific violence is not caused by guns, it’s caused by people. The latest example comes out of southern Brazil, where a daycare was attacked by a man with a hatchet.

Hatchet-Wielding Psychopath Kills Four Kids

Southern Brazil is the wealthier and generally safer area of the country, compared to large cities like Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro further north. Nonetheless, horrific violence does occur, even against unarmed kids, just like it does in America.

The city of Blumenau in southern Brazil’s state of Santa Catarina, is famous for its Oktoberfest party every year, the second biggest in the world.

But now it’s making headlines for the horrific attack that occurred at one of its daycares when a man jumped the fence and used a hatchet to kill four kids and injure five more, one with life-threatening injuries.

The country is shocked and horrified as the news goes out. Governor of Santa Catarina Jorginho Mello has called for everyone to stand behind those who are in “deep pain” following the murder of their kids.

Schools are closed; social media is full of messages of solidarity with victims, sadness, and shock.

Suspect Arrested

The suspect in the attack is in custody. Around 40 kids were inside when he broke into the school and started trying to kill them.

The suspect, a 25-year-old male, came to the police station to give himself over to authorities after his murder of three small boys and a girl between five and seven.

Brazilian President Lula said the attack was one of “hate and cowardice” and called it a “monstrosity.” He’s right. There’s nothing more cowardly and disgusting than attacking unarmed kids.

Part of a Pattern

This is far from the first time students have been attacked in Brazil. A week ago, a Sao Paulo student stabbed his teacher to death and hurt a few classmates.

Two years ago, a man went into a different daycare in Santa Catarina and killed three small kids and the teacher.

Schools remain closed in Santa Catarina as rumors circulate that the suspect was participating in some kind of sick online game which may still be continuing.

This isn’t about guns and it never has been. It’s about modern society descending into sick evil.
