AOC Brands Tucker Carlson a Weirdo Over a Book Review

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a representative from New York, hit out at Fox News’ Tucker Carlson on Friday. He opened his show by disparaging a future book about the lawmaker and comparing one portion to a booty call.

Outrage and Insults

“Do you recall how the right-wing erupted when I indicated that they have obsessive desires toward young women?” Ocasio-Cortez wrote on Twitter. “Tucker Carlson is now wishing for this on national television. You’re a creep, bro.”

Following the tweet, the Democrat referred to him as “basura,” which means garbage in Spanish.

“Any male who speaks in this manner will behave towards a woman in this manner. It makes no difference if you are a Republican, a Democrat, or neither; this is obviously not a person to be allowed alone with women.”

According to Ocasio-Cortez, “once again, the presence of a wife or daughter does not automatically qualify a guy as good. Additionally, this one is basura.”

The congresswoman was responding to a clip from Tucker Carlson Tonight in which he discussed Take Up Space: The Unprecedented AOC, a planned book about Ocasio-Cortez, authored by New York Magazine editors and novelist Lisa Miller.

The book traces Ocasio-Cortez’s rise to prominence in New York politics, as well as her early childhood and historic election victory in 2018.

“The authors of [the book] had no idea how disturbing it sounded,” Carlson stated. “‘Today, I’m alone,’ Ocasio-Cortez states emphatically to the camera.

“Is it just us, or does that ring a bell for a booty call? Perhaps a step up from ‘How are you dressed?’ It is unquestionably excessive sharing.”

Woman of Color

Carlson also referred to Ocasio-Cortez, whose family is of Puerto Rican ancestry, as a “wealthy white lady” in response to her statement that she is a woman of color.

“No one dares dispute that description, but any rational person understands it is ludicrously stupid,” Carlson remarked.

“Outside of American campuses and newsrooms, there is no location on Earth where Sandy Cortez would be acknowledged as a “person of color,” because she is not. She is a well-to-do white lady.”

“She’s the spoiled, arrogant ski bunny in the matching snowsuit who urges you to pull up your mask in Jackson Hole’s lift line. They are all identical. It makes no difference what shade they are.”

For years, Ocasio-Cortez and Carlson have been at odds. Carlson was dubbed a “talking inferiority complex” by Ocasio-Cortez last year after he singled her out for her alleged fear of being raped during the Jan. 6 Capitol brawl.

Carlson was also alluded to as a “white supremacist supporter” by Ocasio-Cortez in 2019 in reaction to a guest on his show who stated the congresswoman’s constituency was one of the “least American,” due to the high amount of illegal immigrants.
