$13 Billion Spent on Losing Migrant Children Over the Past Decade!

The Office of Refugee Resettlement from the HHS definitely needs to set its priorities straight, especially in terms of financing. It’s been revealed that the office spent over $13 billion amid the last decade.

This would be fine, if not for the fact this incredible amount of money was wasted on sponsoring unaccompanied minors at the border, only for them to be unaccounted for later on.

This process kept repeating for an entire decade.

Your money’s going down the drain…

In a way, this is more shocking than the fact 85,000 of these children have gone missing in the past two years alone. That is a testament to just how ineffective the Biden administration and those appointed by Joe have been at doing their jobs.

Unaccompanied migrant children are defined as any child under the age of 18 who doesn’t have a lawful immigration status here in the US, along with no parent or legal guardian to provide care for them.

This definition was created by the ORR.

It’s what helped the HHS receive funding for sponsoring these kids, which was done with the intent of saving them from being exploited for work in the towns near the Mexican border.

Unfortunately, this backfired immensely.

A large portion of these kids were later on exploited by the sponsors themselves, mainly for unforgiving, dangerous work in slaughterhouses and farms. They would sustain life-threatening and career-ending injuries at an incredibly young age.

Almost 90,000 kids missing

$18,000 was spent on every single one of these kids in 2023 alone. This seems a bit too high, considering the average cost of educating a student in the state of Texas is around $9,800.

On top of this, most of these kids go missing within the first month. That is documented by the ORR, as they contact the sponsors during this time to ensure the child’s well-being.

This helped create an entire industry of exploitation. You won’t hear it from Mayorkas or Biden, but it’s highly likely that more than 50% of the 85,000 missing children are being exploited for work here in the US.

From being overworked to death to being prevented from enrolling in school, the lives of these unaccompanied migrant kids are miserable. The left was fully complicit in making it possible.

Due to the immense pressure on these kids, whether it’s from their family back home or their sponsors, most of them keep working in these horrible conditions, hoping they’ll be able to repay their “debt” to those vetted by taxpayer money.

The HHS hired several child welfare agencies to help track down these kids and get them to safety, but seeing as their number will only continue to grow, the department is essentially fighting a losing battle.
